Casa Fuerte is alive and kicking!

June 2021

We were absolutely delighted to host various groups who came with CIT Sur. Everybody was in awe of the peace you feel walking around the grounds and some left kind notes in our visitors book.

February 2021

Good news!

The Cabildo Insular of Tenerife has awarded us a grant in order to repair two rooms in the patio and the desperately needed exterior façade.

October 2019

Down through the arches to the old tomato packing factory.

July 2019

Cleaning one of the various wheels found at the fort.

May 2019

Another step forward ; the recreation of the hen house.

January 2019

Pruning the centenary trees in the grand patio.

December 2018

The wagons were used in the construction of the dams at Armeñime and El Puertito.

November 2018

Occasionally, intruders come to Casa Fuerte, they force the doors, get together to smoke and sometimes vandalise.

Recently they came back during the festive days in Adeje. We were lucky that there was no damage done.

This is an exterior door and we realise it was used to exit the premises.

It was imperative to put a new and solid door up. The result is perfect. We continue with the works…

October 2018

We opened our gates for children from Los Olivos school in Adeje for the first time.

They were brought by Prodintur, a branch of the Ayuntamiento who organise Heritage routes for schoolchildren and adults free of charge.

The children learnt about the origins of the Casa Fuerte: the sugar mill, the Pontes, pirates and the 15 canons that were once kept here.

September 2018

La Ruta del Misterio that has become a regular tradition in Adeje stepped inside the Casa Fuerte for the first time this year. A large and happy group walked the grounds.

August 2018

Despite the summer heat, we keep on.. Carpentry work, renovating doors and windows.

July 2018

We’re changing the roof in the warehouses. There can be found the tomato crates, machinery and agricultural implements from times gone by.

May 2018

The Casa Fuerte is being throughly cleaned and rehabilitated in order to allow us to open our doors to the public.

We hope to be able to offer an enriching cultural experience, for you to see and learn about our heritage once we’re ready. We give ourselves approximately a year and half. In the meantime, we’ll keep you posted on our progress.
